Growth Sensor

  • Daily Weights

Daily weight data captured automatically above each pen to monitor weights. Enabling producers to know real time growth rates, pen uniformity and market selection predictions

  • > 97% Accurate

    >97 accuracies achieved while not requiring special lighting conditions, contact with the pigs or a central computer.

  • Affordable

Commercially economic for producers as well as plug and play installation for the farmer keeping costs down.

How it works

We truly believe at Grostat is on the edge of a step change in efficiency in pig production with information in the form of live growth rates.

The growth sensor will provide daily weights, growth rates, marketing forecasting. In conjunction with other integrations, the sensor could provide to help the farmer close the loop. A good example of this would be utilising feed data to provide food conversion for the producer.

The sensor is a small box, powered by POE (Power over Ethernet) that located 2.3m above the pen. Installation is made easy by preinstalled brackets, plug and play wiring and is IP67 rated to survive real farm conditions.

The sensor continually monitors for pigs and analyses them up to 10 times a second to achieve the highest accuracy possible. Advanced algorithms clean build the data then build and returns a biometric profile of the pig.

All pigs are weighed without contact creating stress free assment of the pigs weight

POE Compatible

Simple plug and play installation via POE removing the need to bring power to the sensor

> 97% accurate

Highly accurate weight measurements above 97%

Cloud ready

Does not require central or cloud computing. Designed to interface with a vartiety of systems.

Works on 40kg+ Pigs

Designed to work with finisher pigs 40kg and above

Simple Installation

Provided brackets and connectors remove the need for specialist installers

The efficiency of pig production would be revolutionised if we knew the accurate weight and growth rates of the pigs we are feeding.
